Health Advocacy and Accountability Project
Partnership with STAR Ghana
Commenced 2011

Capacity of citizens from target districts developed to demand better access to responsive reproductive and maternal health care and performance by the health care system. The project is being implemented in the Sekyere East District in Ashanti and Dormaa Municipality in Brong Ahafo. 

Consolidating Ghana's democratic credentials through ensuring a more inclusive parliament. 
Partnership with STAR Ghana
Commenced 2012

CEDEP holds the view that there is a huge imbalance in the composition of Ghana's parliament with women and Persons With Disability (PWD) strongly under-represented. CEDEP, through this project provided the necessary support to all female and PWD parliamentary aspirants from all political parties in the Ashanti region. This was done through capacity building so as to enable the candidates earn the trust and confidence of the electorate towards enhancing their chances of winning their respective parliamentary seats. 

Global fund HIV and AIDS Round 8 Project
Partnership with Planned Parenthood Association of Ghana
Commenced 2010

This project aims at reinforcing the scaling up of HIV services, strengthening HIV prevention and effective targeting. Its goal is to reduce new HIV infections in the general population of Ghana. It hopes to achieve this goal through the following activities:

  • Life Planning Skills;
  • Male and female condom distribution amongst Most at Risk Population (MARPS), vulnerable groups and the general population; 
  • Community outreach through Peer Educators and in school settings. 

CEDEP implemented this project across 6 regions of Ghana. 

Home based Care and Support Project
Partnership with Ghana AIDS Commission
Commenced 2010

The focus of this project is to mitigate the impact of HIV and AIDS on the infected and affected. The project is to be implemented in 8 districts of the Central Region in collaboration with Opportunities Industrialization Centres International.
