This formed part of AMEHI (Accra Metro Environmental Health Initiative) implemented by the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) in conjunction with the Department for International Development (DFID) and other stakeholders with the aim of promoting public health in the city of Accra. Environmental Health Officers, Community Health Nurses as well as identifiable strategic community-based groups in West Maamobi, Sukura and Old Teshie had their capacities enhanced and supported by CEDEP to become multipliers who undertook the dissemination exercise. CEDEP also supervised their community activities.
