National Program for Elimination of Worst Forms of Child Labour (NPECLC).

The government of Ghana under the auspices of the Ministry of Employment and Social Welfare embarked on frantic efforts to eliminate exploitative child labour and coerced adult labour in the cocoa sector. CEDEP was a partner in these efforts as it was engaged by four Municipal and District Assemblies: Asante Akim North, Atwima Mponua, Amansie Central and Amansie West in the project implementation.

Kumasi Street Children Project (Current)

This was a joint initiative started by Action Aid international Ghana and CEDEP to reduce the incidence of streetism in Ghana. The project focuses on needy children (orphans, abandoned children, house helps etc) living on the streets of Kumasi.
